The U.S. tax code has changed. Max Reed was recently asked by the Canadian Tax Foundation to write a paper with Charmaine Ko and give a presentation on the changes and the impact on Canadian-resident U.S. taxpayers and Canadian corporations doing business in the U.S.
We have also published a series of blog posts that provide further information on the new changes:
- US Tax Reform Presents Opportunities for Canadian Businesses
- Code Section 965 and Individual Taxpayers – a technical explanation
- New US Tax Rules will Encourage Americans Abroad to Renounce
Max Reed has also prepared a slideshow overview of the US Tax Reform for Canadians, which you can view below. To display the presentation in full-screen mode, click the ‘Open in New Window’ icon at the bottom right.
